SnapLoop Privacy Policy

SnapLoop helps people participating in shared Events find photos of themselves. This Privacy Policy explains the personal information SnapLoop processes, why it is used, how long it is kept, and the choices available to users.

SnapLoop does not upload your entire photo library. Face Match is intended for adults, and Face Setup must use the signed-in account holder's own face. Face Match is optional. Your Face Setup selfie stays on your device. With your express consent, SnapLoop stores numerical face templates to help find you in eligible Event photos. SnapLoop does not sell biometric information or use it for advertising. Active Face Match consent and numerical face templates expire after 12 months without Face Match activity initiated by your account and can be deleted sooner.

1. Information We Process

• Account information: your verified phone number, account identifier, optional display name, and account settings.
• Event information: information needed to create, join, manage, and participate in Events.
• Photos: SnapLoop accesses photos only after you grant Photos permission. SnapLoop does not upload your entire photo library. Matched photo previews may be uploaded so authorized participants can view them.
• Face Match information: when you choose Face Match, SnapLoop uses your Face Setup to create numerical face templates. Your Face Setup selfie stays on your device. SnapLoop stores numerical face templates.
• Consent and availability information: information needed to record Face Match consent, withdrawal, expiry, and determine whether Face Match is available where you live.
• Service information: limited app, device, diagnostic, security, and service information needed to operate, protect, and improve SnapLoop.

2. How We Use Information

SnapLoop uses information to:

• provide and maintain accounts and Events;
• perform Face Match when you have provided consent;
• identify and deliver matched photos to authorized participants;
• support invitations, notifications, saving, and sharing;
• determine feature availability; and
• maintain security, reliability, and customer support.

SnapLoop does not use biometric information for advertising, cross-app tracking, surveillance, credit, insurance, employment decisions, or to infer sensitive personal characteristics.

3. Face Match

Face Match is optional. Before Face Match is activated, SnapLoop presents a separate Face Match notice and asks for your express consent.

What Face Match does

SnapLoop uses your Face Setup to create numerical face templates that help recognize you in eligible Event photos. Face Setup must use your own face. Your Face Setup selfie stays on your device.

To perform Face Match, SnapLoop may process faces appearing in eligible Event photos on the contributing device solely to determine matches for the Event. This processing is not used to create an account Face Setup for other people, for advertising, or for model training.

If Face Setups in the same Event are too similar to distinguish safely, SnapLoop may pause Face Match for the affected people rather than risk sending a photo to the wrong person.

Age

Face Match is intended for users age 18 or older. Face Setup must use the signed-in account holder's own face.

4. Face Match Availability

Face Match may not be available in every location. SnapLoop may ask for country, province, state, or similar regional information when needed to determine availability. SnapLoop does not require your precise GPS location or residential address for this purpose.

5. Your Choices and Deletion

You can choose not to activate Face Match. You can also withdraw Face Match consent, delete Face Setup, or delete your SnapLoop account using the controls available in the app.

When Face Setup is deleted or Face Match consent is withdrawn, SnapLoop stops future Face Match for that account and removes the active numerical face template used for matching. A future Face Setup requires new consent.

Limited records may be kept where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, disputes, compliance, or audit purposes.

6. Retention

• Active Face Match consent and numerical face templates expire after 12 months without Face Match activity initiated by your account, unless deleted sooner.
• Event-related cloud data, including matched photo previews, is scheduled for deletion within 15 days after an Event ends or is manually deleted.
• Account data is deleted when you use Delete Account, subject to limited information that may need to be retained for security, legal, dispute, or backup purposes.

7. Sharing and Service Providers

SnapLoop shares information only as needed to provide the service. Matched photo previews are made available only to authorized Event participants.

SnapLoop may use service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, storage, notifications, analytics, diagnostics, and security. They process information only as needed to provide those services.

8. Security

SnapLoop uses safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information it processes. No system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent.

You can also control Camera and Photos permissions through your device settings and use SnapLoop's in-app privacy and account controls.

10. Children

Face Match is intended only for adults. A child must not be enrolled in Face Setup using another person's account.

11. No Sale or Advertising Use of Biometric Information

SnapLoop does not sell, lease, trade, or monetize biometric face-template information. Biometric information is not used for targeted advertising or unrelated machine-learning training.

12. Changes to This Policy

SnapLoop may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Where required, SnapLoop will provide additional notice or request new consent before materially changing how biometric information is used.
