Frequently Asked Questions

What does SnapLoop do?

SnapLoop helps people in the same Event find photos of themselves from participating phones.

How do I get my photos sooner?

On the phone that has the source photos, open the Event and tap Check New Photos. That starts the photo check immediately instead of waiting for the next automatic sync opportunity. If photos are spread across several phones, each source phone may need to sync.

How important is a good Face Setup?

Very important. Face Setup is the reference SnapLoop uses to recognize you. Use good, even lighting, keep your face clearly visible, hold the phone steady, follow every requested head position, and complete every scan step.

Why might SnapLoop not recognize me in a photo?

Very small, blurry, dark, heavily obstructed, or strongly turned faces can be harder to match. If results seem weak, review your Face Setup for clarity. You can also use Test My Face with a clear recent photo to check your Face Setup.

How do I join an Event?

Open a SnapLoop invite link, scan the Event QR code, or enter the Event code in SnapLoop. You can review the Event before choosing to join.

Which photos does SnapLoop check?

SnapLoop checks photos available to the app that fall within the Event's selected date range.

I joined an Event late. Can I still get earlier photos?

Yes. Photos taken earlier within the Event dates can still match you when participating phones next sync with the Event. For faster results, participating members can open SnapLoop or use Check New Photos.

Why are some photos missing?

A photo may be outside the Event dates, unavailable because of Photos permission, not yet checked by the phone that has it, or the face may not be clear enough for a confident match.

What happens with Limited Photos access?

SnapLoop can check only the photos selected for the app. Use Manage Photo Access in SnapLoop or change Photos access in iOS Settings if you want additional photos included.

Does everyone need to rescan when a new member joins?

No. Participating phones can re-check previously processed photos when the Event membership changes without requiring everyone to manually start over.

Do I need to keep SnapLoop open while manually checking photos?

Keep SnapLoop open while a manual Check New Photos pass is running. If it is interrupted, completed processing is kept and the check can continue later.

Can I stop sharing photos from my phone?

Yes. Open the Event's member controls and turn off photo sharing for that Event.

How do I remove Face Setup?

Open Privacy & Data or Face Match and choose the Face Setup deletion control.

How do I delete my SnapLoop account?

Open Privacy & Data, choose Delete SnapLoop Account, and follow the confirmation steps.

Does SnapLoop support videos?

No. At this moment, SnapLoop matches and shares photos only.

Limitations

Very small, blurry, or very dark faces may be harder to match.
Heavy face obstruction and strong side angles can reduce matching quality.
Very similar-looking or identical Face Setups may become ambiguous. SnapLoop may pause Face Match for the affected people rather than risk sending a photo to the wrong person.
